Baseball Recap: Winnfield Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Winnfield came up short against LaSalle, falling 10-1. Winnfield just can't catch a break and has now endured six losses in a row.

Winnfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Johnson's first of the season.

Winnfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for LaSalle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winnfield will face off against Quitman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaSalle, they will head out to take on St. Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
