Soccer Recap: Wheelersburg Takes a Loss

Wheelersburg was the 2-2 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another back in October of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-5 on Saturday.

Wheelersburg hit Fairfield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ella McGraw (2), Ella Hochstetler (2), and Chloe Bays.

Wheelersburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Wheelersburg has already played their next match, an 11-0 win against Waverly on the 23rd. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Unioto on the 25th.
