Soccer Recap: Douglas/Rapid City Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Spearfish on Thursday, Douglas/Rapid City Christian came back down to earth. The Patriot Comets lost 5-0 to the Belle Fourche Broncs on Saturday. If Douglas/Rapid City Christian were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to Belle Fourche when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Douglas/Rapid City Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Belle Fourche, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6-1.

Coming up, Douglas/Rapid City Christian will face off against Sturgis Brown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sturgis Brown will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Douglas/Rapid City Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Belle Fourche, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hot Springs at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
