Basketball Recap: Red Oak Takes a Loss

Red Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Harlan Cyclones and fell 70-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Cyclones are ranked 38th).

Red Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Harlan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Red Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlan, they will challenge Atlantic on Wednesday. Atlantic will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Harlan surely won't give up without a fight.
