Football Recap: Cherokee Bluff Bears vs. West Hall Spartans

Cherokee Bluff won the last time they faced West Hall, and things went their way on Friday too. The Cherokee Bluff Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the West Hall Spartans 41-14 on the road. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Spartans are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cherokee Bluff had a senior duo take command as Brooks Brien threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt and Kaden (Kt) Thompson gained 135 total yards and three touchdowns. Thompson also set a new season high mark in receiving yards with 134. A healthy portion of that aerial production (83 yards to be exact) also went to Malcolm Millsap.

The win for Cherokee Bluff keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. As for West Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Cherokee Bluff will challenge Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
