Recap: McDermitt Bulldogs vs. Wells Leopards
The McDermitt Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Wells 38-32. McDermitt has struggled against Wells recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
McDermitt's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Shandon Camas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Dylan Palmer who scored ten points along with two steals. Camas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played.
McDermitt dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wells, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
McDermitt and Carlin will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Carlin is ranked 117th, while McDermitt is ranked 103rd). As for Wells, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Round Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Round Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
