Softball Game Preview: Immaculata Spartans vs. North Hunterdon Lions

Immaculata is 2-8 against North Hunterdon since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Spartans will host the Lions at 3:45 p.m. Neither Immaculata nor North Hunterdon posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Immaculata's last matchup with Watchung Hills Regional could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Spartans lost 7-1 to the Warriors. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Immaculata saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Falvey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That run was Falvey's first of the season.

Meanwhile, North Hunterdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westfield.

Immaculata's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for North Hunterdon, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
