Brandywine is a perfect 6-0 against Dowagiac since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Chieftains at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Brandywine sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Michigan Lutheran.

The team relied heavily on Ryder Richard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten contests. Kyler Marshall was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Brandywine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Dowagiac beat Michigan Lutheran 9-6 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chieftains.

Chase Frazier was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Lamone Moore also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Brandywine has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Dowagiac, their record now sits at 3-8.

Brandywine took their victory against Dowagiac when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
