MacArthur has gone 10-0 against Rochester recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The MacArthur Generals will head out to take on the Rochester Rockets at 7:00 p.m. MacArthur knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Rochester likes a good challenge.

MacArthur is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest victory since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Springfield Southeast, posting a 77-35 win. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Spartans are ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rochester has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 55-41 fall against Triad on Tuesday.

MacArthur pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

MacArthur strolled past Rochester in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 66-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for MacArthur since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
