Baseball Recap: Bourgade Catholic Takes a Loss

Bourgade Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the ALA - Ironwood Warriors, falling 12-4. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alexander Guzak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple. Eli Salas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bourgade Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for ALA - Ironwood, their record now sits at 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bourgade Catholic will face off against rival San Tan Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, ALA - Ironwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Benjamin Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
