Baseball Recap: Mcarthur Drops Highest Score of Season Against Monarch

McArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 14-8 to the Monarch Knights. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Dylan Dess made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isnedit Fernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Dess wasn't the only one working in the home run department: McArthur lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

McArthur's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Monarch, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McArthur will square off against Nova at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monarch, they will face off against Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wellington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
