Softball Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. North Henderson Knights

Franklin has gone 8-2 against North Henderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Franklin Panthers will take on the North Henderson Knights at 5:00 p.m. Franklin will be strutting in after a victory while North Henderson will be coming in after a defeat.

Franklin's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Pisgah with a sharp 7-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Suzanna Cabe, who gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Pisgah off the board. Cabe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Franklin let Makayla Pendergrass and Meliah Mason run wild. Pendergrass went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Mason went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Pendergrass' first of the season.
