Franklin has gone 8-2 against North Henderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Franklin Panthers will take on the North Henderson Knights at 5:00 p.m. Franklin will be strutting in after a victory while North Henderson will be coming in after a defeat.
Franklin's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Pisgah with a sharp 7-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Suzanna Cabe, who gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Pisgah off the board. Cabe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Franklin let Makayla Pendergrass and Meliah Mason run wild. Pendergrass went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Mason went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Pendergrass' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn McConnell, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Franklin lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.
Meanwhile, North Henderson fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Rosman on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-7. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.
Audrey Snowden was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. Snowden was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Amber Matlak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bailey Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. North Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Franklin took their victory against North Henderson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
