Soccer Game Preview: Nanakuli vs. Leilehua

The Nanakuli Golden Hawks and the Leilehua Mighty Mules will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Nanakuli's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Nanakuli turned things around against Wai'anae on Friday. They and the Seariders finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Golden Hawks' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Leilehua has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They lost 9-0 to Kapolei on Friday.

Nanakuli's draw makes their record 0-6-1 this season. As for Leilehua, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-2.

Nanakuli opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 defeat to Leilehua. Can Nanakuli avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
