Greenfield-Central's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Noblesville on Wednesday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Delta Eagles 4-3. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Parker Rhodes tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacob Welch was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Cobb, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Greenfield-Central's record now sits at 4-2. As for Delta, their record is now 1-4.

Greenfield-Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
