It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Weddington Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Bulldogs with a 56-51 victory. The win was nothing new for Weddington as they're now sitting on 16 straight.

Weddington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grant Hamilton out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. KJ Younger was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three blocks and two steals.

Butler's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Starnes, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Showalter, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Weddington's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. As for Butler, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9.
