Football Recap: Beekmantown Finds Playoff Glory Versus Northeastern Clinton

Beekmantown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 win over the Northeastern Clinton Cougars on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

When it comes to explaining why Northeastern Clinton lost, don't look at Krista Sebert. Despite the final result, she rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 84 yards and a pair of TDs.

Beekmantown's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.9 points on average over those games. As for Northeastern Clinton, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-7-1.
