Basketball Recap: Oxford Hills Takes a Loss

Oxford Hills and Cheverus squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Oxford Hills had to settle for second. They fell to the Cheverus Stags 41-37. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Stags earlier this season, when they won 50-29.

Oxford Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Cheverus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Oxford Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheverus, they will square off against South Portland at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st. South Portland will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Cheverus surely won't give up without a fight.
