Football Recap: Boca Raton Christian Starts off Right with Win over Babcock

Boca Raton Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Babcock Trailblazers 42-2.

Boca Raton Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Anderson led the charge by rushing for 83 yards and one TD, while also picking up 74 receiving yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Josh Burnell, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Boca Raton Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tavaris Wilson and Jake Lee.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boca Raton Christian is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Somerset Academy Key at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Babcock, they will head out to challenge Keswick Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
