Basketball Game Preview: Chapman Panthers vs. Woodruff Wolverines

The Chapman Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Woodruff Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapman is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Chapman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Union County.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Woodruff beat Mountain View Prep 52-48 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Woodruff's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Chapman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Chapman beat Woodruff 57-44 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
