Baseball Game Preview: Klein Collins Tigers vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

For the second straight game, Klein Collins will face off against Klein Cain. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Hurricanes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Klein Collins 4, Klein Cain 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Klein Collins is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Klein Cain just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 4th.

For Klein Cain's part, Collin Aloisio was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Aloisio has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Connor Haefele looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Back at the plate, Blaine Bullard was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles.

The win (which was Klein Cain's eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Klein Collins, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1.
