Jaiden Shufeldt put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Saturday. He struck out five batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Taylor's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 9-15 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Shufeldt and Taylor will head out on the road to square off against Dearborn at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers will enter the matchup having just beaten Renaissance, so the Griffins will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
