Soccer Game Preview: Madison West vs. Oregon

The Madison West Regents will square off against the Oregon Panthers on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Madison West sitting on five straight victories and Oregon on three.

Madison West is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Middleton. That's two games straight that Madison West have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Oregon faced Waunakee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering Oregon have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Oregon's win bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for Madison West, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2-2.

Madison West came out on top in a nail-biter against Oregon in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Regents since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
