Volleyball Recap: Landrum Takes a Loss

Landrum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16.

Alaina Adams paced Landrum's offense, picking up six kills. Adams got some help from Maddie Smith and her 12 assists. Finally, Sulli Price kept Landrum's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Landrum's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Landrum will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Broome on the 25th.
