Baseball Recap: Sebring Find Success

Sebring's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Auburndale Bloodhounds get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Blue Streaks haven't had any issues with the Bloodhounds recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Dalton Todd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Blayne Humphrey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Jett DeWitt was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sebring's record is now 15-4. As for Auburndale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebring will host IMG Academy Black at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Streaks 1.8, the Ascenders 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Auburndale, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Discovery at 7:30 p.m.
