Football Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. Valor Christian Eagles + How To Watch

Castle View hasn't had much luck against Valor Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sabercats will welcome the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Castle View will be strutting in after a win while Valor Christian will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Castle View was able to grind out a solid victory over Fruita Monument, taking the game 20-13. The win continues a trend for the Sabercats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Castle View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Henman, who rushed for 81 yards and one score. Henman has become a key player for the Sabercats: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Hudson Rodarte was another key passer, throwing for 109 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Valor Christian faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 38-36. The Eagles were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Golden Eagles in the fourth quarter 8-0.

The win got Castle View back to even at 3-3. As for Valor Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
