The nation's premier postseason showcase will be played April 1 at the United Center in Chicago – the fifth-consecutive year the Windy City has played host.
Headlining the West roster will the nation's top recruit, according to ESPNW ranking Katie Lou Samuelson of Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), who has signed at Connecticut.
The 6-foot-3 guard is one of three signees for the defending national champions. The others are De'Janae Boykin, a 6-2 forward for the East from Flowers (Springdale, Md.) and 6-1 do-everything Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis, Mo.) wing Napheesa Collier, who joins Samuelson on the West squad.
The East squad actually features three signees each headed to Louisville and Notre Dame, while the West will have two future players on Texas, North Carolina and Connecticut.
This year's teams were selected from more than 800 nominees by the McDonald's All American Games selection committee, led by Morgan Wootten, committee chairman and legendary Hall-of-Fame basketball coach.
Since 1978, more than 1,200 players have competed in the McDonald's All American Games, including former female greats Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Elena Delle Donne and Breanna Stewart.
