Basketball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Rock Hill Bearcats

Clover has won 13 straight games at home, while Rock Hill has won 13 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Clover Blue Eagles will host the Rock Hill Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Clover was fully in charge, breezing past Catawba Ridge 61-16. The Blue Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Rock Hill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 74-57 win over River Bluff on Tuesday. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Clover better focus on containing Aubrey Stevenson and Chloe Hudson as the pair were huge in Rock Hill's win. Stevenson dropped a double-double with 35 points and 11 boards, while Hudson dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Stevenson's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Dunbar, who posted two points and 12 boards.

Rock Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Clover, their victory bumped their record up to 23-2.
