Softball Game Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. Collins Titans

For the second straight game, Trimble County will face off against Collins. The Raiders will challenge the Titans at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trimble County has three straight victories, Collins has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Trimble County needed a bit of extra time to put away Collins. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Titans.

Hannah Chilton spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alyssa Ritchie was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Collins now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Trimble County, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
