Recap: Watertown Indians vs. Oxford Wolverines

The Watertown Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 69-56 victory over Oxford. The win was some much needed relief for Watertown as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Watertown found their leader in underclassman Justin Davis, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Gambee, who scored 12 points.

Watertown's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Oxford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watertown won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. St. Paul Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Watertown likes a good challenge. Oxford won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Seymour focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
