Softball Recap: Lehi Falls Short of Riverton in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lehi can now relate to. They fell just short of the Riverton Silverwolves by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Silverwolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Abbi Harroun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

Lehi's loss dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Riverton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Lehi will challenge Herriman at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Riverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
