Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Redeemer Christian walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Mustangs on their court since October 17, 2023.

Redeemer Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Madelyn Powers and Delaney Shaw, who picked up 15 kills apiece. Shaw really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 28. Kileya Flaherty controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Redeemer Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. As for Meadowbrook Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.

Coming up, Redeemer Christian will face off against Beaches Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meadowbrook Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
