Recap: Hunt Warriors vs. West Johnston Wildcats

The Hunt Warriors entered their tilt with the West Johnston Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hunt secured a 65-59 W over West Johnston on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Leading Hunt to victory were Drew Pittman and Austin Joyner. Pittman scored 17 points, while Joyner scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Joyner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Scott, who scored nine points.

Hunt's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for West Johnston, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunt will challenge Fike at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fike is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for West Johnston, they will head out on the road to face off against South Johnston at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Johnston and West Johnston are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
