Shell Lake waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles as they made off with a 16-6 win. Considering the Lakers have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Shell Lake pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Chequamegon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shell Lake will host Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chequamegon, they will welcome Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.69 runs per game on average), something the Screaming Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
