Softball Recap: Plumstead Christian Wins Going Away Against Collegium Charter

Plumstead Christian got the win against the Collegium Charter Cougar on Thursday by a conclusive 12-5. With that win, Plumstead Christian brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Olivia Incudine made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Madison Edgerton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Plumstead Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Plumstead Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Collegium Charter, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Plumstead Christian will square off against Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Collegium Charter, they will face off against Renaissance Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
