Basketball Recap: Tallulah Falls Comes Up Short

Tallulah Falls and St. Anne-Pacelli squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Tallulah Falls had to settle for second. They came up short against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings, falling 80-56. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Vikings are ranked 24th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Anne-Pacelli to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikehi Williams, who went 9-for-10 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jalien Bush, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine assists.

Tallulah Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

Tallulah Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will face off against Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Tattnall Square Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
