Basha got themselves on the board against Nogales on Thursday, but Nogales never followed suit. They came out on top against the Nogales Apaches by a score of 4-0. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Apaches, too.

Basha got a great performance from Tyler Jensen as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Jensen has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Clayton Cooper was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Trevion Jones was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

The victory made it two in a row for Basha and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nogales, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.
