Soccer Game Preview: Sullivan County vs. Muncy

The Sullivan County Griffins will face off against the Muncy Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Muncy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sullivan County, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Sullivan County turned things around against South Williamsport on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Mountaineers. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Sullivan County were the better team in the second half.

Colin King and Ryder Lambert scored both of Sullivan County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Muncy managed to keep up with Millville until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Quakers. The defeat continues a trend for Muncy in their meetings with Millville: they've now lost four in a row.

Sullivan County's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-11. As for Muncy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
