Football Recap: South Rowan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Rowan extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They were beaten by the Salisbury Hornets 42-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 41-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Brooks Hunter threw for 49 yards while completing 80% of his passes. Trystin Chadwick was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards. On the ground, Nick Woolf Jr. rushed for 66 yards.

As for Salisbury, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 73-7).

Salisbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Foxx, who rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, and also threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Foxx a new career-high in passer rating (121.4). Salisbury's leading receiver Jonathan Ross was Foxx's top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in two rushing scores.
