Football Recap: Keene Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Keene and Nashua South had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Blackbirds took a blow against the Purple Panthers on Friday, falling 47-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackbirds of the 22-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Keene's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Nashua South, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keene will welcome Merrimack at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nashua South, they will host Bishop Guertin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
