Baseball Game Preview: Troy Colts vs. Rochester Falcons

The Troy Colts will take on the Rochester Falcons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Troy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Troy and Athens, and Athens kept the tradition alive. The Colts fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rochester). They put the hurt on Lake Orion with a sharp 11-3 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Troy's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Rochester, their victory bumped their record up to 5-17-1.

Troy came up short against Rochester in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
