Basketball Game Preview: Grant Community Bulldogs vs. Round Lake Panthers

The Grant Community Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Round Lake Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant Community has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 10.

Grant Community came up short against Palatine on Saturday, falling 54-29. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Pirates are ranked 174th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Round Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They skirted past Cristo Rey St. Martin 48-45.

Grant Community's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Round Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Grant Community came up short against Round Lake in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 51-47. Can Grant Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
