Basketball Recap: St. Clairsville Takes a Loss

St. Clairsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Martins Ferry Purple Riders and fell 62-20. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-25 back in December of 2024.

St. Clairsville's record now sits at 0-14. As for Martins Ferry, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

St. Clairsville has already played their next contest (against Edison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Martins Ferry won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monroe Central at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
