Basketball Recap: Mack Calhoun's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Argos over North Miami

Argos was the 60-44 winner over North Miami when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Argos Dragons fell to the North Miami Warriors 67-63. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Argos' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mack Calhoun, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Calhoun a new career-high. Kenyan Beldon was another key player, putting up five points in addition to nine assists and six boards.

Argos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for North Miami, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Argos will head out on the road to challenge Oregon-Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Argos is facing Oregon-Davis at the right time seeing as Oregon-Davis is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. North Miami has already played their next matchup (against North Judson-San Pierre), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
