While Roswell's win against Melrose wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coyotes had just enough and edged out the Buffaloes 41-38. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Despite the loss, Melrose still got an impressive performance from Braylan Morgan, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Morgan has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kearstin Stagner, who posted six points.

Roswell's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Melrose, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roswell will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Deming at 2:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Melrose, they will be home for the holidays to greet Tucumcari at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
