Softball Game Preview: Forestview Jaguars vs. Kings Mountain Mountaineers

Forestview is 0-10 against Kings Mountain since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Forestview Jaguars will welcome the Kings Mountain Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. Forestview has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Forestview is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Crest, falling 11-1. The match marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Forestview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Cabe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kings Mountain got themselves on the board against Stuart W. Cramer on Thursday, but Stuart W. Cramer never followed suit. They blew past the Storm 15-0. The Mountaineers have beaten the Storm the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Storm has come to flipping the script.

Kings Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Forestview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Forestview couldn't quite finish off Kings Mountain in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Forestview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
