There's no place like home for Oakdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Patterson Tigers with a sharp 10-2 victory on Tuesday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Jaelyn Lee (UOP) made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Madi Bohannon (Cal Poly) was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Briley Everett was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Oakdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Oakdale's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Patterson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakdale will square off against Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Patterson, they will face off against Manteca at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buffaloes will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
