Basketball Game Preview: Timberlane Owls vs. Alvirne Broncos

Timberlane is 0-3 against Alvirne since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Timberlane Owls will venture away from home to challenge the Alvirne Broncos at 6:30 p.m.

Timberlane is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-67 heartbreaker at the hands of Sanborn Regional. One positive for the Owls, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alvirne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Londonderry by a score of 54-43 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Broncos as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alvirne's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Timberlane, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Timberlane ended up a good deal behind Alvirne in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 69-50. Can Timberlane avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
