Baseball Game Preview: Westwood Redhawks vs. Ridge View Blazers

Westwood is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Ridge View Blazers at 6:30 p.m. Westwood will be strutting in after a victory while Ridge View will be coming in after a loss.

Westwood saw some tournament action last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Columbia with a sharp 20-8 win.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Ridge View was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They came up short against Georgetown, falling 7-1.

The victory got Westwood back to even at 1-1. As for Ridge View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Westwood was able to grind out a solid win over Ridge View when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westwood since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
