Basketball Game Preview: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Alcorn Central Bears

The New Albany Bulldogs and the Alcorn Central Bears will face off at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

New Albany is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 64-43 margin over Amory on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

New Albany can attribute much of their success to Lynleigh Tatum, who went 9-for-15 on her way to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals, and Alessia Jones, who posted nine points and eight blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Tatum now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. Mirakle Hanson was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 11 points.

Alcorn Central not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since January 27th (when they won 55-24). They claimed a resounding 50-21 victory over West Union.

New Albany's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Alcorn Central, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
