Tri-Valley faced Williamsport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millionaires. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
While Tri-Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.
Liv Lupole paced Tri-Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lupole got some help from Callie Melocheck and her 26 assists. Kylie Clemmer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Having lost for the first time this season, Tri-Valley fell to 16-1. As for Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Looking ahead, Tri-Valley will head out to face off against Shenandoah Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williamsport, they will face off against Danville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
